The house has been bombed, flea bombed that is. And I’m very, very thankful for my aloe vera plant. Everyone should have one of these things.
Since I was itching like mad, I remembered that I just had to pluck off part of the stem/leafness and then squish the juices on to the “affected areas”. Five minutes later I felt so much better. Soothed.
For that, I’m getting a much bigger pot to move my aloe vera plant to. Sunny has been chewing on the ends of it, slowing killing it. Nevermore, catcat, nevermore. Hopefully when I put it in a big pot on the front porch he’ll leave it alone because I’m pretty sure the only reason he’s gnawing away at it is because the plant is currently residing in HIS window.
There is a reason I named him Sir Sunshine Maple Syrup. The cat is a snob. But then again, the same could be said about me as well so perhaps I ought to stop judging him. For the record: I’m not a snob. I just find stupid people irritating. There is a reason common sense is called common sense, most everyone is supposed to have some!
Anyhow. I found the living version of the bush I want to plant in my yard! I was at the botanical gardens and BAM, there it was hanging out with lots of trees and other pretty shrubs. I’m glad because my yard is shady and the bush was thriving.
That one. It is hella gorgeous in the fall and still rather pretty right now all green and white. I think I prefer the fall version but that is life. I meant to ask one of the people there but they were busy at the time and Jas was having a DIVA MOMENT, so we had to go. I like to spare the populace such drama.
See? Yeah. Beautiful.

My grandmother had a similar bush in front of her house and I used to hate it because it was so plain. She never understood why I didn’t like it and now, I don’t understand either. :D
Anybody with Maple Syrup in their name is destined to be a snob. Or people who grow up in places where maple syrup is they only syrup. :D
I turned him into a snob! =O
Actually, they say that pets reflect their owners, so maybe I DID turn him into a snob.
*the. *shakes fist at 4AM typos*
My aloe vera plant died off about two years ago (it needed a bigger pot but I was too lazy to do it… heh!) and I’ve been meaning to replace it ever since. They really are miracle plants!
Let me know when you find out what kind of bush that is! It’s gorgeous!
I will! I’ll make up a huge post and everything. =D
