it still seems like may to me, i’m lost in the days

  • I’ve spent a ton of time checking out these photos: Stormtroopers 365. Hilarious!
  • There are baby maple trees growing in my gutters. So this weekend I have someone coming to clean them out.
  • There is a rabbit that is eating the rose blooms off my Lady of Guadalupe rose bush. I see that sneaky prick all the time, hopping off into another neighbors yard when he notices me looking.
  • My mint plants are doing awesome. Mojito, anyone?
  • Cody has two bottom teeth and he likes to try to strip all the flesh off of your fingers. I know better and keep my fingers out of his mouth. But the look on people’s faces when they realize what he’s doing is priceless. I TOLD you he had teeth.
  • He has also decided that he does not want to drink from a bottle anymore. That doesn’t bother me since I nurse him, but when others watch him I always have to supply applesauce or cereal. It was driving my gma crazy when he was refusing to eat because he kept twisting his head and screaming. =\ Stubborn little tyke. If he’s picked up my selective eating habits, I’m doomed.
  • I get to mow the lawn this weekend with my awesome little reel mower. It’s funny how now I’m the random hippy on the block. A few of my neighbors stopped mowing with their regular lawnmowers and came over to chat about it. The general consensus was that I’m nuts, but hey. When gas prices go through the roof, maybe I won’t look so crazy. Plus, my lawn always looks ace when I’m done. I like the whirring noise too. =)
  • My rain barrel is hooked up too! When I was hacking at the gutter downspout with the saw, the screech of metal on metal was driving me mad so I gritted my teeth the whole time. It was like a weird mental pain in that I’m not sure why it hurt, but it did.
  • I hate coming up with small talk at work. I’m so horrible at it. So I’ve decided to come up with a list of topic openers that are guaranteed to generate interesting conversation. If you have any, feel free to share. So far I’ve got (a) favorite childhood memory, (b) favorite place to travel, and (c) best recipe for dinner. I need more ideas.
  • I have a long standing policy that if I get a robot phone call, I hang up instantly. If you can’t afford to pay someone to make the call, or place it yourself, I have no desire to answer it.
  • I signed up for Netflix a few weeks ago and I positively love it. I’ve seen so many amazing movies, most of which I had no idea even came out. The Edge of Love, La Vie en Rose, Brick, Cashback, Sunshine Cleaning, Dr Horrible’s Singalong Blog (!!).

I think the best thing is that I can pause for the inevitable kidlet interventions. You could do an ad campaign on that alone.

I lovelovelove Netflix! I was super ecstatic that they added a ton of old Nickelodeon cartoons on instant view. Made my day! :)

I have entered the Grown Up World of having plants finally too! I have little daisies I’m attempting to grow. Wish me luck because I’m sure they are about to die… lol.

I really have nothing exciting to add here… just was excited about Netflix XD

Ooh, good luck! Yeah, I still kill a ridiculous amount of plants. I’ve successfully killed off one cactus. =\

Heh! I know. Jas has been watching Clifford’s Big Movie and Looney Tunes from Netflix. She calls it “Bugs Rabbit”. =D
