expanding my horizons

It’s kind of nice living with someone more of a hipster than myself. Just last week, Vakker convinced us that she had to visit one of those natural grocery stores.

Did you know there is such a thing as meat-free beef jerky? Because I really did not know such a thing was possible. I’m also not brave enough to try it.

Actually, there were a LOT of foods in there I was not brave enough to purchase. There aren’t many times when I embrace ignorance, but trying new foods is one of those times.

Although I must admit that I was tempted to buy chocolate covered pomegranate seeds. That sounds legitimately delicious. And I bought some legit ginger ale that was amazing. The price is kind of limiting though.

We also ended up in a sushi place. I opted for beef teriyaki which was delicious!!! but pricey!!! Now I’m tempted to make some myself. But I must say, I think I ought to win some sort of award for eating my dinner with chopsticks in the left hand (I’m right handed) while breastfeeding. I didn’t drop a thing on Cody which is kind of amazing all things considered. Not even a speck of rice! That’s art.

Yesterday I successfully ate a piece of rice using 2 toothpicks in chopstick formation, under the tootalige of Buggo. She’s inspirationally oriental too.
