It's mostly because of insurance companies. They have a list of dangerous breeds that they will not cover a landlord or tenant if kept on the property. We get away with it because we own this house and my agent never directly questioned us about her.

Kids are kind of a given in a rental situation but pets require large deposits, if they are allowed at all.

I'm trying to find a way to make everything work, but we're running low on options. It's all so frustrating.

Your post just reminded me of an HGTV (I might be wrong) program my mom and I randomly saw about Mrs. Spelling moving out of her 50,000 square foot manor in 30 days. Because she is an organized and goal-driven person, she did it, so you definitely have the right idea also.

Your VHS player must have lasted a long time! My parents' died a few years ago, and a VHS player isn't really something that you can easily find at a store these days, either.

Enjoy relaxing! You need it.

Love it.

You are absolutely correct about organized environment & mind.

Great depression lessons run deep.

*hugs*

In my experience, staying home is worse than most things away (though, maybe not warry things), because the one who stays home has to live in the constant reminder of how things could be if they were restored to normal. The one away is just away, busy with things apart, you know?

I'm surprised finding a rental house with kids isn't more difficult than finding one with a dog... You know how I feel about dogs... I live an hour outside the city so I could buy and have a house for my doggies... I must have called 80 apartments before fleeing to the countryside (slash suburbia).

Good luck... and perseverance. And I'm doing the praythings for you, always.

This is likely what we'll do since she does have a lot of lab in her look but finding a place that allows a dog at all is proving tricky.

It may seem bleak now, but keep think in the future to when you'll be saying these were the golden years.
