Last night since I had a bit of free time, I decided to do a video blog. Unfortunately, since I was sitting down in one place for more than a minute, Sunny decided to careen into my lap. But to get to my lap, he had to smash through the spindly little webcam. Smash he did. The very first take I did, he crawled up into the chair and artfully pressed stop with his toes while I was petting him and talking about how he has started to use emotional bullying towards Kayla. This cat did not want the story to hit the interwebs because he interrupted the next two attempts that I did.
Anyway, just as I was about to call it quits and turn off the laptop, Andy comes strolling upstairs with two chess pieces that he’s carved and is gabbing away about the new toy I bought him for Christmas. It’s a fancy Dremel that came with loads of attachments, a carving tool. He’s always been interested in wood working and carved a few chess pieces with a carving set that he’s had for years. The Dremel was something he’s been drooling over for a few months now.
On Black Friday, I had him go purchase his gift seeing as how I had to work and we both figured that he might be able to get a deal. No dice on that, but ever since he was been tinkering with his new toy and at the mention of putting it away underneath the tree he gets amazingly defensive.
So he was going on and on about how he did all this carving when I decided that as his penance for playing with his Christmas gift before Christmas, he had to explain to the webcam exactly what he was doing. Besides, it made his longwinded explanations much more bearable for me although I’m not sure why. The second go around of hearing it all was much funnier than the first.
Anyway, here is the video… and you’ll probably have to turn the sound up because the settings were all wonky on the laptop.
I imagine that soon we’ll have an entire collection of chubby pawns littering Andy’s office.
