After several attempts at getting shots of his teeth, I finally succeeded. Sneaky baby. Also, I am totally charmed by how much he enjoys swinging. The happy little look on his face and his burbling chuckles. So sweet.
Jas is his complete opposite in that she doesn’t like to swing any faster than the wind is going. That makes her difficult to push because even the gentlest swinging will irritate her and she’ll slide off with a slew of condemnations about going too fast before wandering off to a slide.
So I mostly just sit her on the swing and then walk away. Other parents are confused when they see this but it’s what works for us right now. I remember this one mom actually asked Jas if she wanted pushed and Jas nodded her head. The mom pushed her like a normal kid would enjoy and Jas hopped off furious, turning to glare at her. I tried not to laugh but I didn’t succeed. The mom turned me like, “oh…”
I have a feeling she will not be riding roller coasters with me when she gets older. Maybe Cody will. I hope so. Andy hates rollercoasters and anything that goes faster than a merry-go-round. Which reminds me:
The look on her face when the ride started was priceless. Shock, horror, awe, moving horses. I wish I’d had the camera ready for that moment. This was after she’d been around a few times and was mellowing out.
She was not amused.
We were though.
