easter bunny, i’ll trade you a chocolate rabbit for a toddler

I don’t usually write up any entries on weekends, in an attempt to keep myself off the computer and out interacting with human folk. Overrated. =D Kidding. But today I thought that all things considered, this was something to share on the Eve of Easter. Just seemed fitting.

This morning when I went into the kitchen to get Jas some cereal, I spied the pets’ water bowls. Apparently she had taken it upon herself to give them salmonella for easter by cracking two dozen eggs into them.

She must have done this while I was taking my bath this morning because when I let the dog out, everything was fine.

I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure out a profession that would be a boon to her superior mixing skills. So far all I’m getting is crazy chef or the experimental bartender. Usually she focuses her attention on blending her liquids and solids during any meal. And you’d think asking her how it tastes would deter her because you’d think it’d taste awful, but she merely scoops some mixture on her spoon, eats it, and gives a thoughtful expression. Like she’s trying to figure out whether adding paprika would be a benefit or not.

Working on a new pair of arm warmers. Well, wrist warmers I suppose would be the correct term. But I can’t ever seem to remember to call them that.

It’s funny how with these, I thought the yarn would work up kind of ugly but now I positively love them. I call them the Grapes of Wrath arm warmers. You can’t really see the green very well in the picture. At all. It is green, I promise. The lighting outside was great but distorted it to look blue… All the colors are faded in that shot.

I started a pair for a friend and ended up making the first one too small. I just put the yarn away and gave the dud to Jaz. She loves it. Truly is an arm warmer for her.

Yesterday… was a bad evening. I’m okay now, having vented everything out. Thanks everyone, for being good friends and checking up. You all make this world a wonderful, beautiful place.
