hmmm…

As it turns out, I didn’t wait long enough between posting at erinism and shifting things over so my previous post never hit the feed stream. This will prove interesting. Sorry everyone!

Expect lots of redesigns around this place because I’ve got ideas flowing out of my ears.

it was bound to happen sooner or later ;D

I’m in the process of rearranging things so if things get a little crazy around here (or quiet in your RSS feedreader) it’s because I’m switching la caotica over to http://la.caotica.org.

For now the content should be visible both there and here, but it won’t be like that for long. Please update your links to either caotica.org or la.caotica.org, whichever preference you have. ;D Thanks muchly. And again, beware of falling pixie dust for the rest of the day. The fairies found where we hide the vodka.

prepare to be underwhelmed!

And then there was music

The bass line was a loop but the rest of it was created by keyboard and yours truly.

Can you imagine if Garageband had been around in Mozart’s day? That’d have been crazy.

And then it was sleeptime.

some wtf for your monday! (if you have a US based vagina)

So it’s no secret that the US of A has the most fucked up health care system ever (I have a huge draft I’ve been working on that I will finish and post on the whole thing sometime soon – work in progress!) and while I would normally just save the link and add it to my little draft, I think this is something that needs to be seen now by everyone. Because really, what the fuck?

Senator Kyl of Arizona will never need maternity care because his mother birthed him built with a penis, so he doesn’t think insurance should require it. Methinks he doesn’t get the reason it’d be covered on every person’s policy: so that we all pay way less for it.

That is entirely the point.

SO THAT WE ALL PAY LESS FOR IT.

I think the Three Musketeers said it pretty well wearing tights, garish hats and swashbuckling with rapiers: all for one, one for all. THAT is the goal for our healthcare.

For the record, I’m pretty sure I’ll never get testicular cancer. Or have need of Viagra.

I was scouring Fox News to see what the major Republican base thinks on his comments but they don’t have any articles up on it. Neither does CNN. ABC does, as well as the Huffington Post, Talking Points Memo and the infamous BlogHer.

Why is this not anywhere near as huge as death panels? EIGHT OTHER SENATORS AGREED WITH HIM! Why are women not thoroughly enraged by this?

Is there any way we can get names on which senators don’t think basic maternity care should be covered on the health care bill? Because I’d LOVE to see them. And spend every second of my free time making sure they don’t get reelected.

Other fun food for thought: C-sections and domestic violence considered preexisting conditions.

Good thing I wrote down about mine on the form when we signed up. No rescission over here! But if there is, you will all know about it and I’ll be blaring insurance company names and scanning documents like crazy.

Life: the preexisting condition.

learning and playing

I have a feeling this scarf will never finish. It’s about halfway as long as I want it so that I can wrap it proper and have lots of snuggle room and I’ve been working on it for four weeks. *dies*

It’s funny because one of the reasons I decided to learn to knit was because I’m so thrifty with my money and I kept finding gorgeous scarves I wanted on Etsy priced around $40. Who pays $40 for a scarf? Seriously? But after spending the time trying to make one, I’m totally down with it. $40 and it’ll be here all finished in less than a week? Sold. Heh.

Anyway. For my multimedia class, we had to create an original music track using Garageband. For the record, I’m tempted to find a way to get my hands on a Mac because I LOVE THAT PROGRAM! Seriously, I had entirely too much fun making music with it. Love it. LOVE IT. And there is no known adaption for PC. This M-Audio looks promising but I like to play with programs before I buy them. Plus I can safely say that my little nestegg is not available for want-based usage at this time. Damn priorities.

But I plan on uploading a copy of my little jingle so you guys can hear it (on tuesday). It’s only 45 seconds long, but it’s 45 jazzy seconds of music.
